Neutron scattering study of dispersing CNT with surfactant

Single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are dispersed in Triton X-100 surfactant
solutions. Small angle neutron scattering measurements indicate an
optimal surfactant concentration for dispersion, which may result from
competition between maximization of surfactant adsorption onto SWNT surfaces
and a depletion interaction between SWNT bundles mediated by surfactant
micelles.
